Blue Suede Deuce

By | Finished Projects | No Comments

This 1932 Ford Roadster was a collaborative project between Lo-Man Rods and Don’s Hot Rods. The car belongs to and was built by Don Pilkenton owner of Don’s Hot Rods, and it was brought to us for body, paint, and some assembly. Don chose a Harley Davidson blue that was originally a gloss finish, once the satin clear finish went over it the color really popped. Below are photos of the car after it was partially assembled and being loaded to head back to Don’s Shop.

Most of the time we guide our customers and steer them to the design aspects they are trying to visualize for their project car. This build was an exception. Our customer brought us a complete portfolio full of photos, print outs, ads for parts he wanted, and even a scale model of what he wanted the car to look like. The car had to be a modern recreation of the car he drove in high school. So that is what we created for him. Be sure to watch the feature video for a more in depth story on the car.
